Tithing Is More Than Giving
One of the ways we express our gratitude to God is by giving our tithes and offerings.
Beyond the Tithe
"Beyond the tithe" is anything you give beyond 10%. In Malachi 3:10, God says "Go ahead. I dare you. See if you can out-give me." Beyond the tithe is a chance for you to be extravagantly generous. You can give additional gifts to the tithe fund, or to a specific project like PEACE, Food Pantry, and more. So go ahead, test and experience God's generosity!

Signing up for online giving enables you to view your giving history, print giving statements, create and edit scheduled giving series (such as a recurring tithe), and manage your method of giving. It's easy to sign up, it saves the church processing time and money, and your information is kept confidential and secure.

Frequently Asked Questions
Am I required to create an account before donating?
- No. You do have the option to "continue as a guest" at the sign-in page, but we encourage you to create an account if you wish to retrieve a giving statement online at the end of the year or to manage a recurring gift. If your email is already in the system, then all you need to do is create your password. (See "How do I create/reset my password").
- If you give as a guest, a giving record is created to retain your donation information, but no church database record is created.
- Your email confirmation will be your only receipt; therefore, it is important to keep it for your tax records. If you find you need a statement or would like to review your giving history you can email Giving@saddleback.com for assistance.
How do I create an account?
- Select "Sign-in" at the top right of the web page, then select "Create account". If you receive a message that your email is already in the system, then all you need to do is create your password. (See “How do I create/reset my passwordâ€).
- For assistance, email Saddlebackfamilyinfo@saddleback.com or call 949-609-8000 and ask for Data Integrity.
- If you wish to give through a business please contact Giving@Saddleback.com for assistance.
How do I create/reset my password?
- Select "Sign-in" at the top right of the web page and then select "forgot password". If you do not receive the email to reset your password please contact Saddlebackfamilyinfo@saddleback.com or call 949-609-8000 and ask for Data Integrity.
- If you have signed in and wish to change your password, click on your initials at the top right of the web page and select "change password".
What are my giving options?
- You can give via:
- Check or cash given at service or via mail to 1 Saddleback Pkwy, Lake Forest, CA 92630, Attn: Giving Operations
- Via the website or App with a Credit/Debit card, Bank Account or Cryptocurrency. We accept all major credit cards. Businesses need to contact 949-609-8138 to create a business record and give via credit card. Several cryptocurrencies are accepted. From the GIVE page, scroll down to “Ways to Give†and select “Donate with Cryptoâ€.
- IRA, Donor-advised fund, charitable fund – email Giving@saddleback.com with any questions.
- Naming Saddleback as a beneficiary in an Estate or Trust – email Giving@saddleback.com for assistance
- Non-cash donations such as securities or assets- email Giving@saddleback.com for assistance.
- We are not equipped to take household items, but we do accept non-perishable food donations for our Food Pantries. Drop-off bins are located at each campus and at the PEACE Center parking lot at the Lake Forest campus 24/7.
How do I give a one-time donation?
- We encourage you to create an account before giving but you do have the option to give as a guest on the sign-in page. See: "How do I create an account". If you wish to give through a business please contact Giving@saddleback.com or call 949-609-8138 for assistance.
- Giving via the website or App: After logging in select "Give My Tithe"
- To make a one-time donation today: enter the amount then select "Give$today". You will be prompted to enter your billing and payment information if this is your first donation. Choose to Save or not Save your payment method for future use. You will be able to review your gift before you "Submit".
- To make a one-time donation for a future day, simply click "Make this a future or recurring gift". Complete the gift information, using "once" as the frequency of your gift. Set the Start Date to the date you wish the gift to process.
- Give via text: text "SBC" to 949-381-0100 to get started. After registering, giving is only two clicks. This option is limited to giving your tithe or to a campaign or featured ministry.
How do I create a recurring gift?
- We encourage you to create an account before giving but you do have the option to give as a guest on the sign-in page. If you wish to give through a business please call 949-609-8138 or email Giving@saddleback.com for assistance.
- After logging in select "Give My Tithe"
- Click "Make this a future or recurring gift". Enter the gift amount, frequency and set your start date. You can select an end-date if you wish or leave it blank so the gift will continue to process until you choose to close it. (See "How do I manage my recurring gift?") You will be able to review your gift before you "Submit". Note: If you create a recurring gift as a guest then you will be unable to edit/delete that gift yourself since you will not have created a login. Contact us at Giving@saddleback.com for assistance in managing that recurring gift.
Can I give above my tithe to a special ministry?
- Yes. We have Saddleback Signature Issues you can help support under "Beyond the Tithe". You can give one-time or recurring gifts.
Do you accept non-cash gifts such as cryptocurrency, stock, or assets and IRA or DAF donations?
- We accept several cryptocurrencies. On the GIVE page, scroll down to “Ways to Give†and select “Donate with Cryptoâ€.
- If you are interested in donating assets, securities or naming Saddleback as a beneficiary in a trust or estate please contact Giving@saddleback.com.
- If you wish to make a donation through your IRA or DAF, please email Giving@saddleback.com or call 949-609-8138 for assistance.
How do I manage my recurring gift?
- Select "Manage My Giving" button above, then select the "Scheduled' tab (far right). There you will see all recurring gifts to Edit or Delete.
- Select "Delete" to close the gift and stop all future donations.
- Select "Edit" and you can change the frequency, amount, scheduled payment date or update your payment method. The changes will take effect on the next scheduled payment date, which is reflected in the Start date field. If you need to enter a new payment method, select "Credit Card" or "Bank Account" from the dropdown box and enter all the information. Once your changes are saved, the new payment method is attached to the recurring gift.
- Editing a recurring gift is not working:
Editing is restricted to the creator of the gift. Since we are required to maintain separate records for each individual and every individual has a unique login, only a gift created under your login can be edited by you. You can see who the gift is assigned to by clicking "Show name" above each gift. For assistance, please call 949-609-8138 or email Giving@saddleback.com for assistance. - Can't find your recurring gift?
- Your gift may have been closed due to an expired credit card or a new card being issued, causing the old card to be invalid. You can simply start a new gift. If you need assistance please contact Giving@saddleback.com or call us at 949-609-8138.
- If you are married, the recurring gift may be in your spouse's record.
How do I manage my payment methods?
- To update an existing payment method:
- Select "Manage My Giving" button above. Scroll down the page to "Saved Payment Methods" and "Edit" the payment method in question. Fill in all the fields and "Save". You may need to refresh the page to see your changes. If the old payment method was being used to process a recurring gift, then the new payment method will attach to that gift automatically.
- You can also change from a card to a bank account or vise-versa if you wish just by selecting the type of payment method you want to use and entering the new information.
- To remove a payment method:
- Click "Delete" next to the payment method you wish to remove. If there is no "Delete" button, then the card or bank account is attached to a recurring gift and that gift needs to be deleted before the payment method can be removed. See: "How do I manage my recurring gift?"
How do I obtain my giving statement?
- If you give through a business or trust you will receive a statement in the mail automatically by mid-February each year. These statements are not available online.
- For Personal statements: If you have an email and password for Saddleback, simply go to www.saddleback.com/statement and sign-in. Select the appropriate year and click the PDF Statement button. Your statement will download as a PDF for printing from your home computer. You can also access your statement from "Manage My Giving" above; look for the PDF Statement button.
- If you have a profile with Saddleback but have not yet established a password, see instructions at "How do I create/reset my password?" Once you have your password follow the instructions above.
- If you need a statement mailed to you, please email Giving@saddleback.com with your name, email and address or leave the same information at 949-609-8138. We will mail your statement as soon as possible.
- If you have a valid email address on file with us, you will receive an email in mid-January with instructions on how to either download your statement or request a mailed statement.
- If you feel your statement is not correct, please contact Giving@saddleback.com or call 949-609-8138 for assistance.
How can I review my giving history?
- Select "Manage My Giving" above. If you do not see your history, please contact Giving@saddleback.com or 949-609-8138 for assistance.
- This page also allows you to give a gift, download a PDF giving statement or edit/delete your Saved Payment Methods.
- The Commitments tab will show progress on any campaigns in which you may be participating.
- The Scheduled tab will allow you to view or edit your recurring gifts.
- If you are married and would like to see your combined giving, please email Giving@saddleback.com and request that we associate your records as "married" for a joint statement. Please give us your marriage date so we know when the joint statement should begin.
Why is the system asking me to sign-in again?
- For your security, the portion of our website that retains your giving information will timeout after a period of inactivity, but the remaining sections of the website will remain active. If you attempt to enter anything in the financial portion of the site after the timeout, you will be prompted to sign-in again. If you have any difficulty, the best thing to do is to "sign-out" by clicking your initials at the top right and selecting "Sign-out" and then sign-in again. It is always a good practice to "sign-out" once you have completed your transactions.
